There was a rain last night and we woke up to huge snails outside the rv! Not sure where they came from or where they were going, but it was fun to watch them. There were at least a dozen.
Today was an "on your own" day to explore a bit more of Stockholm. We were adventurous enough to take the train into town. We were able to walk to the train station from the campground, and 10 stops later we were in old town Stockholm! We need this in Indy, There was a marathon run in town and a few runners were on our train getting ready.
We found it is easy to get around and cross the bridges to the different areas of the city. We wandered through the streets and shops... and bought bananas for breakfast tomorrow...
This is the second city in Scandinavia where we've seen an amusement park in the middle of the city! It's right on the water...you can take a ferry to the park. The name of the park is Grōna Lund!
Sweden has a deeply revered tradition called a "fika". It is a time to take a break, relax and unwind, have a coffee and a pastry--and pause for at least 26 minutes. And so today, we walked to the waterfront, bought a cinnamon roll from the famous bakery Brōd and Salt and had a fika!...and made it to the financial district to find the Starbucks to buy our Sweden mug.
It was getting crowded with all of the cruise ships in town, so we found a spot to have another fika moment...this time a beer fika, and wrapped up our day!
The only thing we missed was the ABBA museum. We heard it's great, but tickets were sold out.😒
When we got back to the campground, we found one of the dogs staying in our campground placed first in his division in the European international dog show! He will go back tomorrow for the finals. Nice to have a celebrity in the park!

Those are some big snails! Looks like you guys are having a wonderful time!
